I have known Kathy Gisczcak for twelve years as a close neighbor,
and it incomprehensible to me the attacks that are being made on her
character as a person. From the first day I met her, she opened her
door to me and welcomed me to the neighborhood. I had yet to break
ground to start building my house and I had to go knock on her door
and ask for a replacement shovel since mine had broke while I was
digging. Knowing me for exacting two minutes, she not only offered
me a shovel, but any other tool in her garage I needed and sat me
down for a cold drink of water before I went back home. I thought
to myself, wow how fortunate that I have such a good neighbor!
Fast forward from that to last night, I came home to a severely
ill dog in my barn and I called her up to help me load her into
my car to take to the emergency pet hospital. She geared up and
came right over and carried my dog herself to my car. She called
me this morning to see how my dog was and told me she could not
start out her day until she knew how she was. And the years in
between I did not see anything different in the kindness and
consideration I could always count on her for.

I am writing all this because I want you to know the Kathy I know,
and many others know, is a person who really, really cares not only
about doing the right thing, but also about doing her job to her
utmost ability for the residents of this township. If she upholds
the law and procedures, should we not commend her for that, rather
than bristle with her “rigidly enforcing the rules” and “jumping
through hoops”? I suspect those that are leading this recall are
not accountable people, and when around people who are, rather
than having the courage to lift themselves up to higher standard,
try to tear that standard down. Try to see this for what it really is.

Vote “NO” to recall clerk Gisczcak.
